X Factor busker Gregor Coleman reveals the bizarre reason behind his ‘last-minute’ decision to have a huge tattoo of a butterfly on his neck
X FACTOR busker hopeful Gregor Coleman has revealed the reason he has a giant butterfly tattooed on his throat.
The singing hopeful - who was put through to bootcamp on this weekend's show auditions - received a massive reaction to his colourful neck inkings and now he's revealed why he had it done - to hide the fact he can't grow a beard.
Speaking exclusively to the Sun Online he said: "I don't have a beard so I've got to cover it up with something."
Explaining why he picked the butterfly designed, Gregor said: "I just kinda like the bright and colourful tattoos and at first I just wanted something on my neck.
"I wanted my neck tattooed.
"I was working my way up my arms and stuff and I was getting bored just to get my arms tattooed so I thought I'll do something drastic and see what happens."
He added: "Not everyone's going to love the tattoos but I like them so I think why not. You can only do these things once so you might as well do it.
"I got the tattoo on my neck about six months ago. It was a last-minute decision.
"I was always scared. I thought it would be painful but it was like two hours of pain, but at least I've got it now.
"It was quite painful, it was two and a half hours for the last hour I thought I was going to faint. Afterwards I stood up and I was woozy.

"There was no crying, there was nearly tears and I held it together," he said before admitting the truth.
"I'm just kidding, I was in pieces."
Gregor managed to win a place in bootcamp after initially being sent away by the judges, before returning and stunning them with his version of Rihanna's Stay.
Following his second attempt, Cowell commended him: "I really admire you for what you've just done, it felt believable, it felt really authentic."
He told Coleman that he went from "a busker to an artist", and Alesha Dixon - who stood in for judge Sharon Osbourne for some of the auditions - said she liked how "vulnerable" he was.
He received four yeses from the judges and will compete in the next round of the competition.
