With England vs Colombia in the World Cup 2018 last-16 tie coming up on Tuesday, there is a chance for football fans to rewatch the brilliant ESPN documentary The Two Escobars.

The film, from ESPN's 30 For 30 series, tells the story of World Cup 1994, when Colombia's captain Andrés Escobar scored an own goal against the USA.
Ten days later, he was gunned down.

The events came during the reign of terror of  Pablo Escobar, the notorious leader of the Medellin cartel, whose drug trade fuelled the phenomenon known in the underworld as "Narco-soccer."

The murder of namesake Andrés Escobar was a heartbreaking event for a nation that was attempting to take its place in the international community after years of drug-fuelled terrorism and corruption.
