The Britain’s Next Top Model contestants revealed, including a Tesco cashier, a decorator and an ‘Essex girl’ shopaholic
MEET the latest batch of girls vying for the crown of Britain’s Next Top Model.
The 13 fiery fashionistas will be thrown into a house together next month, with judges Abbey Clancy, Max Rogers and Nicky Johnston warning this series will be the most explosive yet.
The diverse line-up of catwalk wannabes includes a Welsh ‘tomboy’ who works as a Tesco cashier, a party-loving painter and decorator, and an ‘Essex girl’ shopaholic.
Commenting on the upcoming twelfth season, head judge Abbey, 31, said: “There is a lot of potential in this new group of girls who are all different shapes, sizes, ages and backgrounds.
“Viewers will really get a chance to see how they develop and grow in confidence throughout the weeks.
"Put any 13 girls in a house together and it’s going to cause drama!”
Talulah-Eve Brown, 22, from Birmingham, hit the headlines in 2016 after becoming the first transgender contestant to appear on the reality show.
But it was 18-year-old Olivia Wardell from Southampton – the youngest-ever entrant – who scooped the crown.
Along with a Models 1 contract, this year’s champion will bag a glossy spread in Cosmopolitan, campaigns with Missguided and Show Beauty, and a year's supply of beauty goodies and gadgets.
So will one of these hopefuls be the next Kate Moss? It’s time to meet the girls.
GABRIELLA JUKES
Gabriella grew up in a small Welsh town, but has big dreams (and tons of ambition) about making it in the modelling industry.
The 21-year-old Tesco cashier from Port Talbot describes herself as a “bit of a tomboy” and is currently studying for a sports degree at the University of South Wales.
Gabriella has been modelling for local brands since she was 17, and made it into the top five at the Miss Wales contest last year.
The brunette, who loves martial arts, is at ease in front of the camera and believes “being herself” will help her scoop the top prize.
SOPHIA CHAWKI
Shopaholic Sophie Chawki is convinced she can win, saying “throw me in the snake pit and I’ll come out wearing snakeskin boots”.
The half-Moroccan beauty lives in Brentwood, Essex with her boyfriend and is determined to show people that Essex girls are “not all bimbos and airheads who are obsessed with fake tan.”
The 20-year-old compliance officer believes her persistent attitude will help her storm to victory.
MARTHA MILLER
Martha Miller works as a painter and decorator in Brighton, but says she’s rather be partying in a field with space hoppers and disco balls.
The 23-year-old grew up in squats in east London with her punk rock mum and older sister.
Martha’s biggest secret is that she finds it hard to talk to people with bad teeth and tends to stare at their mouths when they talk.
Fake people and attention-seekers get on her nerves and she often doesn’t think before she speaks.
Martha’s hobbies include roller-skating and hula hooping.
ALISIA GRANT
Alisia Grant says she is often compared to Naomi Campbell because of her high cheekbones and feline-shaped eyes.
The 19-year-old Co-op worker from Birmingham describes herself as “bubbly but with a wild streak”.
Make-up addict Alisia loves to twerk in the mirror and her dream night out would involve a red carpet, celebrities and paparazzi.
Alisia, who loves taking selfies, says her mum describes her as “cheeky and vain”.
